Sandbach Partnership

Work has commenced on the Multi Use Games Area and the Green Gym and both areas will be completed early April 2012.

The MUGA will provide facilities for 5-a-side Football, Netball, Tennis and Rounder’s and the remaining Tennis Court will undergo a complete refurbishment.

The Green Gym will provide adults with a free opportunity to get fit and active in the park and there will also be a new picnic area adjacent to the new facilities.

The steering group are please to announce that the toilet refurbishment has finally started and will be finish by the end of March 2012, in time for the start of the Crown Green Bowling season. The toilet refurbishment will include facilities for people with a disability and baby changing.

The Steering Group are now planning the next  projects and funding is being sort for:-

Improvements to the pond and wetlands area.              

Improvements to the paths around the park. 

A replacement skate park facility. 

More information will be provided about the progress of each project as and when resources allow and details will be posted on park notice boards and published through local newspapers. 

The Steering Group wishes to stress that in developing projects the needs of all park users will be the guiding factor.  The support given by the public, Cheshire East Council and its officers, Sandbach Town Council and the Friends of Sandbach Park is very much appreciated.
