Date: Saturday 18th November Time: 11am until 2pm Location: New Horizons (part of Unity Methodist Church), Crewe Road, Sandbach CW11 3RT Our volunteer fixers welcomed a good number to the Repair Café Sandbach. Alternating venues between Wheelock and St Peters’ Church Hall, Elworth, with ample parking and good disabled access we repaired a variety of items. We made two worn sheets into one functional sheet, gave a clock its tick-tock back and solved the mystery of the faulty hairdryer amongst other fixes. Repair Cafés

Saturday 28th October saw the return of Spooky Saturday to the famous cobbles operated by Sandbach Partnership. Hundreds of people flocked to this spooktacular event which took place between 3pm and 6pm on the cobbles and in St Mary’s Church Hall. Featuring a range of activities and entertainment for all the family, residents of Sandbach were treated to street theatre by Saxon Players together with a backdrop of music and fancy dress. Free activities were available for all to enjoy including face painting,

Sandbach Partnership held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 19th October. As part of the meeting the Partnership adopted a new constitution which provides for an expansion of the management team amongst other updates. The minutes are  available on the meetings tab. Sandbach Partnership is looking to bring to Sandbach its first Repair Café! UK households generated 222.2 million tonnes of total waste in 2018 (source: Gov.uk). With a focus on waste reduction, we hope that we can have a small impact with this proposed new initiative, whilst also sharing skills and enhancing community cohesion right here in Sandbach. To mark His Majesty The King’s Coronation thousands of organisations across the country got together to give us all the chance to help out in our own local communities. We co-ordinated a 3 hour Big Help Out volunteering event for all local residents. Despite the rainy bank holiday weather, over 60 people turned out to voluntarily improve our town.
