Sandbach Clean Team (SCT) has over 200 volunteers who help with our aim of keeping Sandbach litter-free and tidy and tackling ‘grot-spots’. We hold a monthly organised litter pick on Saturday mornings (usually third in the month) from 10:00am until noon. Additionally, many members participate in our “adopt an area” scheme, picking litter around their locality.
All members are issued free-of-charge with a hi-viz vest, a bag hoop, bags and a litter-picker..
Annual fund-raising events such as quizzes cover most running costs, with the remainder covered by financial support from Local Government and sponsorship from businesses through their community awards.

In February 2024, Sandbach Clean Team launched its Business Members initiative.
